I doubt whether anyone thought that a sleepy little port town of Calais in Northern France would ever be overrun by refugees looking for better life. However the result was due to strict enforcement by the U.K. Government their ideas were dashed.

 

The French Government created a gueto area outside Calais as the number of refugees increased due lack of any European Government willingness to stand its ground and hiding behind the shengen agreement (open borders across Europe).

 

What this little town which is better known as the main link to England due to the entrance to the 'Chunnel' a rail tunnel under the English Channel to the U.K. which seems to be the refugees ultimate goal for unlimited welfare state handouts which many in the U.K. believe is bankrupting the Country.

 

What is happening now is Europe's dirty little secret was is getting out due to social media.

 

Putting it simply France has lost control and one wonders why they are letting this happen. As always seems to be the case these days political correctness has reared its ugly head. That being said there is NO excuse for total lack of law and order in this little once thriving tourist town.

 

Is there something more sinister at play

 

There can be no doubt that the number one responsibility of a mayor of a  town is to keep its citizens safe. However this mayor has abandoned their responsibility shocking, but that's not all, moving up the chain of command the local police have given up not to mention the state police.

 

So where are the politicians NO WHERE they seem to be AOL. How can it be that the media in France hardly cover it, the issue barely gets a mention in the U.K. and in North America not even FOX NEWS covers it and forget Canada.

 

Trying to be as dispassionate as I can be there seems to be a total lack of concern at the very least for these citizens wellbeing.

 

Finally bringing it back to Canada. I see the total disregard for our safety, rather forward looking of politicians to future voting blocks with eye to securing voting majorities for their party at local and Federal for decades to come with little or no thought for safety security and cultural viability of this Country.

 

I have asked the question and will ask it again who is going to protect us from these large group of thugs when they get bored and dissatisfied with their Provincial and Federal handouts. What will authorities do to keep order. I question whether they have the resources to do so, but as of this time I meet with silence or cynicism,  neither of these are helpful.

 

I believe that it will not be that long before we are most likely in the fight of our lives quite literally.
